The climate crisis

The greatest challenge humanity has ever faced

The climate crisis affects every corner of our planet-from the poles to the tropics, and from the mountains to the oceans. People and nature worldwide are already feeling the effects: from droughts, fires, flooding and heatwaves caused by extreme weather to the destruction of coral reefs due to changes in ocean temperature. And these impacts will only worsen if the global temperature continues to rise.

Who we are wwf

We are part of a growing coalition calling on world leaders to set nature on the path to recovery by 2030 - a New Deal for Nature and People as comprehensive as the global climate deal. Working with many others - from individuals and communities to business and government - WWF urgently seeks to protect and restore natural habitats, stop the mass extinction of wildlife, and make the way we produce and consume sustainable.

Our mission

To stop the degradation of the earth's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature by: conserving the world's biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable. promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.

Emblem of global biodiversity !

After decades of effort, wild panda numbers are rising, but there are still only 1,864 spread across 20 pockets of bamboo forest. And the remaining pandas still face a number of threats, particularly habitat loss and fragmentation.

But the Chinese government is committed to conserving the species and its habitat, and has already drastically increased the number of panda reserves.

WWF has been active in giant panda conservation since 1980, and is continuing to support the government's efforts to give the species more room to feed and breed.

About Gorillas

Gorillas are some of the most powerful and striking animals, not only for their size and force, but also for their gentle human like behavior. They play a crucial role in local biodiversity, roaming through large territories and helping, for example, to spread the seeds of the fruit they consume.
